About Us
Who We Are
Our Roots
Here at Bright Dreams, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a voice. With our recent foundation, we are determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to cause reform and change in our community.
Issue: Workplace Fairness
In the workplace, those who may be physically or mentally challenged often struggle to find real work. Over one in 4 adults in the US population have some sort of disability, and yet nothing is being done to help them in the workplace. Bright Dreams hopes to bring change to how these people can get better access to jobs.
Issue: Barriers to Disability Inclusion
People with disabilities have extreme difficulty in functioning due to multiple barriers that they face. Some common barriers that they encounter are as follows:

-
Physical – a physical environment that is not accessible. For example – a mobility impaired person can’t enter a building or use sidewalk due to presence of steps or curbs.
-
Assistive technology - lack of relevant assistive technology (assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices)
-
Attitude - negative attitudes of people towards disability due to stigma, prejudice, stereotyping, or discriminatio
-
Systemic - services, systems and policies that are either nonexistent or that hinder the involvement of all people with a health condition in all areas of life
